Live commentaries as well as the audio from films, videos or multimedia presentations are also received by the guidePORT. Cell transmitters receive the live audio signals, and the unobtrusive antennas broadcast the audio signal wirelessly to the guidePORt reveivers in each area. As a result, content that changes quickly, such as an event with live commentary, can be continuously “on-the-air” in the exhibition areas. The visitor’s always receives the latest commentaries and recordings.
The twin cell transmitter shall store the audio programs (so-called Storage Events) to be transmitted and shall also provide audio inputs for playing audio information in real time (so-called RTA Events) from external audio sources. The twin cell transmitter shall consist of two complete cell transmitter units in a single 19“ housing.
Each transmitter unit shall provide 4 mono audio inputs for connecting audio sources. The 4 mono inputs shall utilize balanced 1⁄4“ (6.3 mm) jack sockets. Using the GP Installation Manager software module, the 4 mono inputs per transmitter unit shall be configurable to two stereo inputs, thus allowing the connection of stereo audio sources.
One headphone output for monitoring RTA Events shall be provided per transmitter unit and shall utilize a 1⁄4“ (6.3 mm) stereo jack socket. The frequency response of the audio inputs shall range from 50 Hz–14 kHz ± 3 dB(A), impedance shall be 600 O.
